Oligohydramnios

Oligohydramnios is the decreased volume of amniotic fluid. The cause is fetal anuria.

Diseases

Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney and hepatic disease 1
Oligohydramnios is an early but not so common sign of ARPKD.
Renal hypodysplasia/aplasia
Renal dysfunction becomes apparent as oligohydramnios already, sometimes even prenatal death is observed.
Renal tubular dysgenesis
Oligohydramnios is the first symptom of RTD. Often the fetal ultrasound also reveals the malformations of both kidneys.
